The Porsche 718 Boxster is the modern interpretation of the classic roadster from Zuffenhausen and was introduced in 2016 as the successor to the Boxster 981. The model designation "718" is reminiscent of the racing car of the same name from the 1950s and stands for lightweight construction and agility. A striking change in the model's history was the switch from six-cylinder naturally aspirated engines to turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engines - a move that caused debate but significantly improved efficiency and performance.

The basic version offers 300 hp from a 2.0-liter turbo engine, while the 718 Boxster S with 2.5 liters and up to 350 hp provides even more dynamics.
