Model history:
With the Jaguar XK 150 offered from 1957, the last expansion stage of this British sports car came onto the market after the Jaguar models XK 120 and XK 140. The extensively revised car offered, among other things, a one-piece panoramic windshield and the body had grown in all directions and now also had a continuous bumper at the rear. The engine was still a six-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 3.4 litres, and in the further course of production a 3.8-litre six-cylinder in-line engine was also available. Until the end of production in 1961, a total of almost 9,400 copies of the XK 150 were built - this model was finally replaced by the Jaguar E-Type.
General information about the vehicle:
The Jaguar offered in this auction is a 1960 XK 150 with a 3.8-liter in-line six-cylinder engine. According to the seller, the British sports car should have only 2 owners and the main inspection will be renewed before the handover to the future owner. Also worth mentioning is a valuation report on this vehicle and the fact that the car already carries an H-approval.
Exterior colour/varnish/body:
The most striking changes to the XK 150 compared to its predecessors are the one-piece panoramic windscreen, the omitted hip swing in the body as well as the continuous bumper at the rear and a Jaguar figure on the bonnet. The paint of this Jaguar on offer here shines in wine red, in the whole the exterior is to be attributed according to the seller information a very well preserved and modification-free condition. In addition, all attachments on the XK 150 are apparently completely preserved and the chrome still shines as it should. Even the beige and renewed "Sonnenland" hood has no inconsistencies.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
The seller mentions that the tires are in decent condition and these are mounted on the original chrome spoke wheels from Jaguar - in the area of the brakes no negative abnormalities are to be complained about and chassis technically this XK 150 impresses with its originality.
Interior:
Just like the soft top, the apparently well-kept interior of this Jaguar is kept in beige color: Undamaged leather seats harmonize with the noble dashboard and the large-sized black steering wheel. Damage or missing parts can not be detected in the interior of this Jaguar - on the whole, the interior of this Jaguar can be attested to a very well preserved condition. For further details regarding the equipment and the state of preservation of the interior, we refer to the photos and videos of this XK 150.
Mileage
This Jaguar XK 150 is said to have covered a total of about 58,874 miles from its first registration in July 1960. All instruments and controls in the interior can be taken from a problem-free function.
Engine
The 3.8-liter in-line six-cylinder engine of the Jaguar XK 150 is fed via two carburetors - a total of 213 hp, which is transmitted to the rear wheels via a manual transmission with additional overdrive.
Subsoil:
Inconsistencies on the underside of the Jaguar XK 150 are not present after consultation with the seller. This Jaguar XK 150 from 1960 offered for auction here offers British roadster driving pleasure with style for high demands. The legendary Jaguar in-line six-cylinder engine was used in new Jaguar vehicles until 1992 and is a legend in itself alongside the XK series of the 1940s to 1960s.
