When the Mercedes-Benz W 124 succeeded the "Eins-zwo-drei" built for 8 years in 1984, it was initially strange for traditionalists of the brand with the three-pointed star: the plastic bumpers, the high rear – all this initially took some getting used to for the tradition-conscious Mercedes driver, although the 190 "Baby Benz" and even before that the S-Class W 126 had long announced the design change. But times change, and with them the point of view. In the end, the W 124 was a complete success: with its wide range of engines and the various body variants, more than 2.5 million vehicles were built by the end of production in 1997.

The W124 from Mercedes-Benz offered in this auction is the model 300E. In 1989, this sedan was built with the FIN WDB1240301B024482, the first registration took place in Germany on 26.06.1989. From the fully verifiable history, 2 vehicle owners emerge and the matching numbers are available.
