In 1983, the sports car manufacturer Porsche presented a further development of its 911 series at the IAA, which again bore the euphonious name Carrera and, unlike its last namesake, which drew its power from a 3.0-liter displacement, the new 911 Carrera had a 3.2-liter displacement. In the last model year (1989) of the G-model era, Porsche also launched a limited-edition "25 Years 911" anniversary model of the 911 Carrera in addition to the Speedster models.
