Model history

The Mercedes-Benz W111 was produced from 1959 to 1971 and shaped the design of its time with its striking tail fins. While the four-door saloons were launched in 1959, the elegant coupé and cabriolet versions, designed by Paul Bracq, followed in 1961.
The W111 was initially powered by a 2.2-liter six-cylinder engine, followed later by more powerful 2.5 and 2.8-liter versions. With its high-quality workmanship and timeless elegance, the W111 is today one of the most sought-after Mercedes-Benz classics.
