Technik: 2017 erhielt der GT3 eine Modellpflege (991.2). Diese umfasste eine Erhöhung des Hubraums von 3.800 cm³ auf 3.996 cm³ mit einem Leistungszuwachs von 25 PS. Die Maximaldrehzahl von 9.000/Min. blieb gleich. Neue Front- und Heckschürzen, ein leicht versetzter Heckspoiler mit schlankeren Endplatten, eine Änderung der Zug- und Druckstufe des verstellbaren Fahrwerks, Reifen mit N1-Kennung (anstatt N0) und diverse kleine Änderungen bewirkten eine Verbesserung der Rundenzeit auf der Nordschleife des Nürburgrings um rund 14 Sekunden (auf der kurzen 20,6-Kilometer-Variante) gegenüber des 991.1 GT3. Die von Porsche (mit einem Werksfahrer) vermeldete Zeit betrug sogar 7:12,07 Min. Er erzeugte einen Gesamtabtrieb rund 690 N (Vorderachse: 160 N; Hinterachse: 530 N) bei 200 km/h, also rund 50 % mehr als sein direkter Vorgänger. Der 991.2 GT3 beschleunigte von 0 auf 100 km/h in 3,6 Sekunden, von 0 auf 200 km/h in 11,3 Sekunden und erreichte eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 318 km/h. Im Innenraum konnte man nebst den Komfortsitzen wiederum die Karbonsitze des Porsche 918 bestellen; die klappbaren Sitzschalen des Vorgängers entfielen. Um die Rennstreckentaglichkeit zu verbessern, konnte – erstmalig bei einem Nicht-RS-Modell – ein Manthey-Performance-Kit gekauft werden. Aufgrund des Erfolgs des 911 R konnte man den 991.2 GT3 auch als Touring-Variante bestellen. Diese verzichtete auf den prägnanten Heckflügel. Um die aerodynamische Balance wieder herzustellen, musste jedoch Abtrieb an der Vorderachse verringert werden. Er war nur mit dem Sechsgang-Schaltgetriebe lieferbar. LG Tom
