Model history

In November 1967, the 280 SE replaced the 250 SE. Equipped with the new 2.8-litre M130 engine, it delivered 160 hp and offered noticeably better acceleration, especially compared to the larger but heavier 300 SE. The model was given a subtle visual and technical overhaul: new heating controls, door locks, a modified exterior mirror design, one-piece hubcaps, and optional wood trim in the interior gave the vehicle a more modern look.

LG Tom
