Introduction

Commonly referred to as the "VW Bus" or "Bulli", VW's Transporter, first built as the T1 in 1950, is a success story: The VW Transporter quickly made a good name for itself as an all-rounder - with sliding doors, folding doors, lots of windows, few windows, as a pickup, as a completely enclosed version, as a camper and so on. After 17 years, VW allowed itself a facelift with a technical refresh: The T2 now had a continuous windshield, a slightly differently designed body and more powerful engines. Various improvements were added over the years, and in 1972 the VW Bus, now called the T2b, had a more angular rear end and larger taillights. Over 2.5 million VW T2s were produced in Germany until 1979.

The seller mentions that the so-called matching numbers are given and 3 owners have called the VW bus over the years their own. A H license plate carries this VW T2b already and the TÜV shows its validity until June 2025, in the possession of the seller ran the Bulli so far accident-free. Currently, this VW T2b is not registered - but the seller certifies that the vehicle is fully roadworthy. Over the years, the Bulli came to Austria, where it underwent a restoration.

Features

• Exterior and interior: Visually striking is the two-tone paint job, which is white on the upper half of the Bulli and turquoise on the lower half. In the course of the restoration work, the body was also painted. The interior with its leather seats in white/blue is also two-tone.

• Engine and transmission: A 1.6-liter air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine, which is housed in the rear of the VW Bus, produces 50 hp - power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the last engine service was done in June 2023.

• Mileage: On the five-digit speedometer of this VW T2b 37,340 kilometers can be read - the mileage can be approximately reconstructed according to the seller.
