Model history

The Borgward Isabella was produced from 1954 to 1962 by Bremen-based manufacturer Carl F. W. Borgward and quickly became one of the most famous German post-war models. Originally planned as the "Hansa 1500," the name "Isabella" caught on during the test phase – so much so that it was eventually adopted officially. The coupé, which was available as a separate model from 1957 onwards, was considered a particularly stylish variant of the series with its elegant lines and is now a sought-after classic.
