Model history
In terms of appearance, the Volvo PV 544 is very reminiscent of its predecessor, the PV 444. The most striking difference in the model offered by the Swedes from 1958 onwards is the windshield, which is now a single piece. A new dashboard and more space in the back seat were further changes compared to the PV 444. PV already stood for "personvagn" – the Swedish word for passenger car – in earlier models from the manufacturer. Together with the Amazon, which was introduced in 1956, the PV 544 was one of the first vehicles to feature three-point seat belts in the front as standard. The Volvo's dashboard was also padded to provide an additional level of safety.

Comments of this past auction
LG Tom
