Model history

The Mercedes-Benz R107 was built from 1971 to 1989 and was Mercedes-Benz's only roadster model for over 18 years. As the successor to the W113 "Pagoda," it was designed primarily for the US market, where over two-thirds of production was sold. Typical features include the US-specific bumpers, headlights, and emissions regulations. The C107 (SLC) coupé variant replaced the W111 coupé and was replaced by the S-Class Coupé C126 in 1981.
