Model history:

An interesting variant of the small car manufacturer Smart called Roadster was launched on the market in 2003, after a first show car was already on display at the IAA 1999 in Frankfurt in 1999. This Smart Roadster had a lower centre of gravity than the Fortwo, had a longer wheelbase and was powered by a three-cylinder turbocharged Suprex engine developed by Mercedes-Benz. In 2003, Smart joined forces with the tuner Brabus and founded a joint venture: The result was tuned model variants of smart cars, including Roadster Brabus and Roadster Coupé Brabus, of which there were even "Xclusive models" from 2005, which offered some extras more.

General information about the vehicle:

The Smart model offered for auction here is a roadster coupé Brabus in the Xclusiv equipment from the year of construction 2005. The Smart was registered for the first time in Germany, only one owner is known to the car and the so-called matching numbers are assumed. TÜV has the Roadster until June 2023 and for the purpose of traceability of the history, a checkbook can be presented, which was partially kept.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Compared to the normal Smart Roadster models, the Brabus model attracted attention with various special body attachments: It has front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler with centrally located double pipe exhaust and a radiator grille. Since this Smart Brabus is also an Xclusive model, it visually has, among other things, elements painted in body color on the exterior. According to the owner, this Smart Roadster Coupé has never been repainted, and no accident is known and the seller describes the external condition of the car as very good. Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

17-inch Brabus alloy rims give the car an additional sporty exterior - mounted on the rims are tires of the brand Pirelli, which still have a condition of about 70-90%. The seller also attests to the condition of the brake system of 70-90%, in the area of the chassis no modifications deviating from the original condition are recognizable.

Interior:

Seats, fittings and door panels are leather-covered and the entire interior is black, just like the exterior paintwork. In addition to seat heating, electric windows, central locking, power steering and a folding roof, other equipment elements include air conditioning, ABS and an original radio. Mileage

On the digital speedometer of this car, a mileage of only 10,587 kilometers can be read. All instruments and displays are fully functional after consultation with the seller and the total mileage of the vehicle can be proven on the basis of a partially kept checkbook.

Engine

According to the seller, the 700 cc three-cylinder engine produces 120 hp - this power is delivered to the rear wheels of the Smart Brabus via a sequential automated 6-speed manual transmission. In June 2022, the car underwent a final service.

Subsoil:

Stainless and unwelded, the seller describes the condition of the underside of the vehicle. The Smart Brabus Roadster Coupé in the Xclusive model variant released for auction here is a real fun car with rear-wheel drive, which convinces with its compact size not only on country roads, but also in the city with high manoeuvrability and lightness.
