In this auction, an Audi 90 (B2) Type 81 from 1986 is offered. It is part of the first generation of this vehicle series, which enriched the Ingolstadt fleet as a luxury variant of the Audi 80 (B2). The vehicle was exported directly to Spain and registered there for the first time in April 1987. The car with the identification number WAUZZ81ZGA170129 presents itself in good overall condition and has only been used by two owners in the past 36 years. The vehicle equipped with matching numbers returned to Germany in 2021 and was certified as a historic vehicle with H license plates. The Audi 90 offered is ready to drive and approved, the next TÜV inspection is planned for June 2023. Numerous documents about inspections and repairs are available and provide almost complete information about the history of the still accident-free car, which is handed over with a set of keys.

The vehicle is for sale in the original livery that Audi has introduced under the name LA1Y (Kalaharibeige metallic). In some areas, the paint has been renewed, the black trim with silver edge that surrounds the vehicle has been faithfully preserved. No modifications were made to the body, and no rust spots were detected during the inspection. On the right rear of the Audi 90 (B2) there is a dent and conspicuous scratch marks that indicate a failed parking maneuver.

The vehicle is characterized by 14-inch cross-spoke aluminum rims from Ronal, which with their gold-colored design perfectly match the paint of the Audi 90. The Firestone wheels in size 185/60R14 are in very good condition, there are no restrictions on the effectiveness of the brakes. The chassis is in a very well preserved overall condition, there are also no defects in the steering, suspension or suspension. New springs from H&R were installed, which are also H-capable.

The interior of the Audi 90 fits wonderfully with the exterior of the vehicle. The seats, the interior door trim and the footwell present themselves in a uniform beige tone, unfortunately in some areas, especially on the driver's side, some signs of wear and tear are recognizable. The leather areas on the doors and on the gear stick are a little faded due to age, but the plastic dashboard in the noble black design is very well preserved. Apart from the signs of use on the seat covers, no damage can be detected in the interior, in addition to power steering, central locking and the radio, which is also installed as standard, an electric antenna is to be emphasized as an equipment component.

According to the speedometer display, the vehicle has covered a total of 56,000 kilometers, which is comprehensibly proven by TÜV reports and inspection protocols. All instruments in the cockpit work perfectly, so there is no doubt about the audi 90's ability to drive.

The vehicle is powered by a 2.2-liter gasoline engine with five cylinders, which brings an output of 136 hp to the road. The engine of the vehicle, designated as the Type 81, has front-wheel drive and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 8.6 seconds using a 5-speed transmission, while the top speed of the Audi 90 is reached at 200 kilometers per hour. The historic sedan with notchback has completed its last service appointment in June 2021. The 90s has a complete exhaust system, from the trouser pipe, from the company BN-Pipes.

In recent years, minor repairs have been carried out and, among other things, the exhaust system and the front coil springs have been renewed. The Audi 90 is fully operational, but due to its age, the vehicle should be checked regularly in a specialist workshop. No defects could be found in the technical components during the inspection, as well as the underbody of the vehicle presents itself in a good, almost rust-free condition.
The audi 90 offered is a comfortable touring vehicle from the 1980s, which convinces in particular by its good road holding and the comfortable interior. It is quite suitable for everyday use, but has a certain rarity value due to its age and the special exterior. This should be appreciated above all by connoisseurs of the Bavarian car brand, who can put the vehicle in an even better condition by repairing the damage in the rear area and replacing the seat covers.

Comments of this past auction
Also nichts dramatisches
