The Audi Cabriolet was first presented in 1991 on the basis of the Audi 80 and quickly gained great popularity. The first generation was available with different engine variants. Initially, it was mainly four-cylinder units, with the 2.3-liter engine with 5 cylinders and 133 hp forming the basic equipment. Later, the range of engines was expanded and more powerful models were also offered. A 2.8-liter V6 engine with 174 hp and a 2.6-liter V6 with 150 hp were among the options. Over the years, improvements were made, and the Audi Cabriolet established itself as an elegant and sporty convertible with a successful balance of performance and ride comfort. Production of the Audi Cabriolet continued until 2000.
