Model history
The Porsche 911 Targa was introduced in 1965 as a variant with a removable roof section and fixed roll bar – a design that Porsche developed for the US market in response to possible convertible restrictions. The name "Targa" is derived from the legendary Targa Florio endurance race, which Porsche won several times. Unlike later Porsche models with glass roofs or removable roof sections, the 911 Targa always retained its unique concept and is based on a special body structure. The model offered here is one of the first G models with this Targa design and thus represents an early chapter in the model's history.

Questions and Comments
LG Tom
