Technik: Der Ford Boss 302 (früher „ 302 HO “) ist ein leistungsstarker „Small Block“ V8-Motor mit 302 cu in (4,9 l) Hubraum der Ford Motor Company . Die Originalversion dieses Motors wurde 1969 und 1970 in den Boss 302 Mustangs und Cougar Eliminators verwendet und wurde konstruiert, indem Köpfe, die für den geplanten 351 Cleveland (der im folgenden Jahr herauskam) entworfen worden waren, an einen Ford-Small Block angebracht wurden. Die Konstruktion wurde dadurch erleichtert, dass die beiden Motoren ein gemeinsames Zylinderkopfschraubenmuster hatten , obwohl die Kühlmittelkanäle der Boss-Köpfe leicht modifiziert werden mussten.
