Since 1974, Alfa Romeo has had the sporty Alfetta GT/GTV (Gran Tourismo Veloce) series, which received a fundamental facelift from 1980 and received bumpers, spoilers, plastic side panels, a new dashboard and new seats. Also presented in 1980 was the crowning glory of the series, which was available as GTV6 2.5. As the name suggests, a 2.5-liter V6 engine worked under the hood of this top model. Finally, the Alfetta GT/GTV was produced until 1986. Common to all Alfettas is the technical finesse that these models offered: Above all, the transmission (transaxle design) flanged with the differential on the rear axle ensured a relatively even weight distribution and thus good driving performance.

In this auction, an Alfa Romeo GTV6 2.5 from the year of construction 1981 can be bought, which was first registered in Germany in May of the same year and still has 7 owners today. This GTV6 with the FIN ZAR116C0000003241 has been partially restored in recent years according to the seller and has received various new parts over the years. The history of this transaxle sports coupé is partly traceable – the current holder indicates that from the 5th holder the history of the Alfa Romeo since 2002 is available. In addition to various documents and the service booklet for the vehicle, there are also 4 vehicle keys, this Alfa Romeo is already in possession of an H-approval and the main inspection is valid until October 2022. After consultation with the seller, the seller indicates that matching numbers are given.

Due to the fact that this GTV6 already has the facelift introduced from 1980, it already has black plastic bumpers, black sill panels and a plastic front spoiler. Despite partial restoration work, various signs of use can be seen on the body, which has already been repainted in classic Alfa Romeo red in various places. According to the seller, the rust spots are limited: Corrosion points can be found at the corners of the rear window and at the front left of the fender as soon as you open the bonnet.
