Another unique selling point was the virtually silent 6.75-liter V8 engine, which ran remarkably smoothly despite its size. As was customary with Rolls-Royce, the "Spirit of Ecstasy" radiator grille was enthroned on the hood, which automatically retracted when external pressure was applied to the model series.
