Model history

Jaguar began planning the successor to the XJ6 back in 1980. Under the internal code XJ40, a modernized sedan was created that nevertheless retained many classic styling features. The lines became clearer, the technology more robust, and the body was zinc-coated for the first time. In addition to the inline six-cylinder engines, a twelve-cylinder variant was also available – as shown by the vehicle offered here. The XJ12 XJ40 combines British elegance with a powerful V12 engine in a stylish sedan.

Summary

For sale is a 1994 Jaguar XJ12 from the XJ40 series in dark gray metallic with light gray leather upholstery. According to the owner, the car, which was reimported from Japan, is in very good condition and has a verifiable mileage of only 56,400 km. The vehicle is currently not registered but is ready to drive. A distinctive British classic with a twelve-cylinder engine for connoisseurs and collectors.

On the car are the original 16 inch alloy wheels, which are chrome-plated, mounted together with Yokohama tires in good condition. The rims are in very good condition. There are no complaints about the brakes, and no deviations from the original condition can be detected in the area of the chassis.

Dark grey metallic is the paint colour of this Jaguar XJ40 – it has been partially renewed over the years. However, a look around the car conveys an even and rich appearing coloring, and the gap dimensions sit well. Rust on the body and gross damage are not present. No traces of a parking bumper can be seen on the bumpers, the entire car is accident-free, the seller told us. All trim parts on the vehicle are present and the chrome applications are in brilliant condition. In addition, the windows present themselves in a scratch-free and crack-free condition, striking is the tint starting from the rear side windows. Also tinted are the rear lights of the Jaguar sedan in perfect condition. External modifications are obviously not detectable.

The 56,400 kilometers read on the digital speedometer can be easily traced on the one hand by a complete Jaguar service booklet, on the other hand by a very extensive documentation. In addition, the complete on-board folder is enclosed. All instruments in the interior of the XJ40 have a careful function.

The engine compartment is filled by a V12 engine with a huge 6.0-liter displacement, which provides exemplary smoothness. By means of a 4-speed automatic, the gears are engaged flawlessly and without disturbing background noise. The powertrain works cleanly and without visible complaints. The last customer service was done at mileage 55,700. Underbody technically, the Jaguar XJ40 is free of any rust and any complaints. Overall, the underside of the twelve-cylinder reflects the good condition of the exterior and interior.

A Jaguar XJ40 with twelve-cylinder engine will now also be released for auction in this auction. The big cat from Great Britain dates from the year of construction 1994 and was first registered on February of the same year, the Jaguar is a re-import from Japan. Overall, the sedan with the VIN SAJJKKLS4AP676303 has only 2 holders and impresses with its matching numbers. There are 2 vehicle keys to the car, a complete history is verifiable due to a fully enclosed checkbook. The Jaguar XJ40 does not yet have H approval. On request, a full acceptance can be made in the event of a successful sale. This must then be clarified with the seller.

Plenty of light gray leather adorns the interior of the Jaguar XJ40: Except for a few minor age-appropriate traces of use in the interior of the sedan, no abnormalities are recorded. Noble wood veneer, which is present on the door panels, on the dashboard and in the center console, provides a luxurious ambience in addition to the leather used in large dimensions. In addition to power steering, there are also central locking, power windows, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control, an original radio, rear roller blinds, and integrated folding tables in the front seat backrests on board. All equipment elements work without any problems.

LG Tom
