In 2016, the renowned German carmaker Porsche presented the new models of the Boxster and Cayman under the new-old name Porsche 718 Boxster and Porsche 718 Cayman (internally referred to as the 982), bringing the legendary 718 name back to life. This step went hand in hand with the changeover from the tried and tested naturally aspirated six-cylinder engines to modern, turbocharged boxer engines with four cylinders. But that was not the end of the development. In 2020, Porsche unveiled the highly anticipated GTS 4.0 model, which catapulted both the Boxster and Cayman into a new era. Powered by an impressive 4.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder.
