Vehicle description
Model history:
Citroën introduced the futuristic CX in 1974 as the successor to the legendary DS. Already in the following year, the CX was able to get the awards "Car of the Year" and "Safest Car in the World". The timeless-looking, streamlined body gave the car a very good drag value of only 0.39 at the time. The name of the CX is also due to the so-called Cd value. Citroën also continues to rely on a hydropneumatic chassis for the CX, which ensures a sedan-like driving comfort. Another technical highlight is the hydraulic power steering "DIRAVI", which aligns the wheels in a straight line when the steering wheel is released thanks to an automatic reset.
