Model history

In 1990, the Caro Tramp, a civilian version of the former Kübelwagen, went into series production – intended as a leisure and fun car. Equipped with a roll bar, bull bars at the front and rear, and side running boards, the Tramp was aimed at a private audience. The special edition "Caro Tramp" was given a special paint scheme and, with its international chassis number, complied with the series standard at the time. Despite these measures, commercial success failed to materialize – today, the Tramp is one of the rarities of East German automotive history.
