Model history

The Mercedes-Benz R129, which was produced from 1988 to 2001, succeeded the legendary R107 in 1989 and was replaced by the R230 in 2002. The R129 was a two-seater roadster with an electrohydraulically operated fabric soft top, a color-coordinated automatic soft top cover, and a manually removable hardtop that could be mounted over the fabric soft top.
