• The Audi S4 Avant was launched in 1999 as a sports station wagon. This was based on the B5 platform and was seen as a sporty complement to the A4 Avant. The S4 Avant is powered by a sporty 2.7-liter V6 BI turbo engine that produces 265 hp coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. It is estimated that around 20,000 of these were produced up to 2001.
