Model history:

When Porsche presented the 911 Targa at the IAA in Frankfurt in autumn 1965, hardly anyone suspected that this model designation would become a fixture in Porsche history that would become an indispensable force in the future. Until 1967, the rear window of the original version of the Targa was not yet made of safety glass, but of an opening soft window with a flexible plastic window. Only then was a glass pane used. From 1973, there was also the so-called G-model in addition to the classic coupe the Targa. By the way: The name Targa was based on the legendary road race "Targa Florio" in Sicily, where Porsche celebrated great sporting successes at the time.

With regard to the history, the seller can not make any exact statements, since unfortunately there is no more checkbook for the Porsche - but the matching numbers are assumed. The 911 has TÜV until May 2024, and it is already in possession of H approval.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

In 2019, a complete exterior painting of this Porsche 911 3.2 Targa body took place: The Zuffenhausen sports car was painted in "GT Silver Metallic" and in the course of which all seals were renewed. An accident-free in the current possession can be confirmed by the seller. All attachments on the vehicle can be found in complete and well-preserved condition and missing parts on the exterior can apparently not be identified. Engine

In 2019, the 3.2-liter 207 hp six-cylinder boxer engine was completely overhauled by the company Elevenclassics (for 24,000 €): Accordingly, the air-cooled unit now runs cleanly. Power is transmitted by a 5-speed manual transmission. In May 2022, the last service work took place.

As already welded and now rust-free, the current owner of the sports car indicates the underbody condition.
