When Porsche presented the 911 Targa at the IAA in Frankfurt in autumn 1965, hardly anyone suspected that this model designation would become a fixture in Porsche history that would become an indispensable force in the future. Until 1967, the rear window of the original version of the Targa was not yet made of safety glass, but of an opening soft window with a flexible plastic window. Only then was a glass pane used. From 1973, there was also the so-called G-model in addition to the classic coupe the Targa. By the way: The name Targa was based on the legendary road race "Targa Florio" in Sicily, where Porsche celebrated great sporting successes at the time.

In 2019, a complete exterior painting of this Porsche 911 3.2 Targa body took place: The Zuffenhausen sports car was painted in "GT Silver Metallic" and in the course of which all seals were renewed. An accident-free in the current possession can be confirmed by the seller.
