In 1994, Detroit had reason to celebrate the continued success (the first Mustang was introduced in 1964) of the Mustang and launched a new generation of the sports car just in time for its 30th birthday: This new Mustang of the now 4th generation could come up with everything Mustang fans had hoped for. The floor assembly belonged to the "Fox" series, on which every Mustang was based since 1979. The American magazine "Motor Trend" even chose the Mustang IV as the car of the year 1994. In 2004, Ford launched a "40th Anniversary Edition" to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. This special model had to offer, among other things, a special paint and an extended equipment.

Now a copy of the Ford Mustang Convertible of the special series "40th Anniversary Edition" from the year of construction 2004 can be auctioned off in this auction. This Mustang from the 4th generation with the FIN 1FAFP44624F185639 is a car from 2nd hand. Matching numbers are given according to the seller information, the last completed main inspection runs until August 2023. Although there is no longer a checkbook for the Mustang, the total mileage and the history of the Ford can be proven according to statements of the current holder.

The body of this "40th Anniversary Edition" Mustang is kept in a grey colour – in 2019, a complete repainting of the Mustang took place. As current defects, the seller indicates various lighter scratches as well as normal and through the years emerging signs of use on the exterior. In addition, the current owner refers to minor parking damage – but the seller can rule out an accident in the current holding period. Corrosion on the exterior of the Mustang cannot be found, and there are apparently no modifications to the vehicle. The condition of the soft top can be classified as very good because there are no cracks or other damage in the soft top fabric.

5-spoke alloy wheels in retro look together with tires in 70-90% of their new condition ensure the further appearance of this Ford Mustang Cabriolet. The seller describes the condition of the brakes as new – these were renewed in 2021. Defects in the area of the chassis cannot be identified.

Black full leather seats adorn the Interior of the Mustang, which is filled with plenty of grey plastic elements. Neither the 4-spoke airbag steering wheel is worn, nor the seats are particularly worn and the footwell carpet has no damage. Overall, the interior can be attributed a well-preserved and well-maintained condition in view of the mileage of the convertible. Features of this Mustang include: power steering, central locking, power windows, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control and a radio with display. A full function can be taken from all equipment elements on board, and the soft top can also be easily opened and closed again.

The V6 engine delivers 196 hp in the bow of the Mustang, and the individual gears are automatically engaged via a 4-speed automatic transmission. In the summer of 2020, a final service was carried out. The seller states that the car has been deregistered since autumn 2021.
