Technik: Der Porsche 996 ist ein 2+2-Sitzer-Sportwagen der Porsche AG, der von 1997 bis 2006 in Zuffenhausen hergestellt wurde. Das Fahrzeug ist der Nachfolger des Porsche 993 und die fünfte Generation der 911er-Baureihe. Der 996 ist das erste Modell der 911-Baureihe mit einem wassergekühlten Motor und (nach dem 1996 eingeführten Porsche Boxster) das zweite Porsche-Modell mit einem Boxermotor ohne Luftkühlung. Porsche gab 1997 dieses fünfzig Jahre lang verwendete Konzept endgültig auf. Der Porsche 996 wurde von Harm Lagaay gestaltet. Karosserieform und Innenraum unterscheiden sich vom Vorgängermodell erheblich. LG Tom
