Model history:
In this auction you have the chance to buy an English icon from Jaguar – the Mk 2. The four-door model, produced from 1959 to 1969, was one of the first sports sedans from the British manufacturer and, thanks to its superior in-line six-cylinder engine, was also driven by the British police. Even in motorsport, the Mk 2 was successful in 1963 at the European Touring Car Championship, as well as at the Tour de France.
General information about the vehicle:
The Jaguar dates back to 1966, was later imported from Sweden to Germany, cleared through customs and is still registered today with the coveted H-registration, newly carried out TÜV until June 2025 and fully roadworthy. Over the years, the Mk 2 has only been in the hands of two owners and has been fully restored and is in excellent collector's condition that is rarely found. According to the current owner, this model even has matching numbers and is accident-free in the current ownership.
Exterior paint/paint/body:
Due to the full restoration, the body of our English gentleman was repainted in the typical Jaguar exterior color green. Cavity sealing was also performed. For more details, please refer to the attached photos and videos.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
The brakes of the Jaguar have been renewed and the mounted tires have a tread depth of about 70 to 90 percent, according to the owner.
Interior:
The exclusive leather interior of this Mk 2 makes this model an absolute eye-catcher. Overall, a beautiful color combination combined with the bold green exterior of the Jaguar.
Mileage:
After 57 years, our Jaguar MK 2 has a running line of only 12,000 km, which can be traced on the basis of various documents according to information from the owner. – However, there is no checkbook.
Engine:
This Mk 2 is powered by an in-line six-cylinder engine with 120hp and a manual transmission. The last service was carried out in May 2023.
Subsoil:
The underbody is rust-free, preserved and cavity sealed, so that the Jagaur can maintain its good condition in the future.
