Model history
The Mercedes-Benz 190 of the Ponton series was introduced in 1956 and was largely based on the body of the previously launched 180. Externally, the models differed only in details such as trim strips. Technically, however, the 190 received a new 75-horsepower engine, which enabled a top speed of around 140 km/h. In addition to the standard four-door sedan, body builders such as Binz also produced special body styles, including station wagons, ambulances, and a few pickups for export markets. Today, these variants are rare examples of the versatile use of the Ponton platform.

Questions and Comments
LG Tom
