Model history:

With the Peugeot 203, the traditional French car factory did not tie in with the model range of obsolete Volkswagen, but put a completely newly developed vehicle generation on wheels. The prototype, presented at the end of 1947, had some similarity to the Volvo 444, but was somewhat more fluid and elegant in its lines. In the technical conception, the Peugeot 203 was quite a modern car. It had a self-supporting body, hydraulic brakes and front independent suspension. Its core was a robust and durable four-cylinder engine, whose high-lying lateral camshaft operated the inclined valves via pushrods and rocker arms.

Although there is no longer an exact history of the vehicle, the mileage can be approximately traced according to the information provided by the current owner. The matching numbers are assumed for this Peugeot 203 Familiale, the already partially restored classic car already has an H approval and the TÜV is valid until May 2024.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Visually, this station wagon version called Familiale shines in an extroverted red: Over the years, according to the seller, a complete painting has already taken place. Engine:

About 800 kilometers ago, the 1.3-liter and 45 hp in-line four-cylinder engine underwent a complete overhaul. Furthermore, the carburetor was renewed and the tank cleaned and then sealed. The gears are engaged via a 4-speed gearbox. The seller mentions that the gearbox makes noise - but a replacement gearbox is included and given. Final service work took place in September 2022.
