Model history:

In 1953, VW installed curved glass in the rear window of the Beetle and dispensed with the central bar. Also in terms of engine something changed: From 1954, a 1.2-liter engine with 30 hp power was installed, which at least provided 5 hp more power than its predecessor. In 1955, Volkswagen celebrated one million Beetles, while worldwide Beetle production did not end until 2003 with over 21.5 million vehicles built.

In this auction, a VW Beetle from the year of construction 1957, modified in many areas, is now offered, which was first registered for traffic in Germany. A frame-off restoration was carried out by the current owner of the vehicle, who has owned the car for over 15 years. At the moment this Beetle is not approved, TÜV and an H-approval are not available. In the course of the frame-off restoration work, a complete painting of the body took place, which was carried out in a two-color process. Now this Beetle shines in the colors beige and blue, the folding top of the vehicle is kept brown and, just like the body, has an obviously well-preserved condition.
