Model history
The BMW M635 CSi was developed by BMW Motorsport GmbH and produced by BMW AG from 1984 as the top model in the E24 series. It was equipped with the legendary M88/3 engine from the BMW M1 – a 3.5-liter inline six-cylinder with four-valve technology, single throttle valves, and 286 hp. In combination with a reinforced Getrag sports transmission, limited-slip differential, modified suspension, and larger brakes, the M635 CSi offered sports car-level performance. Visually, it stood out with spoilers, painted exterior mirrors, and exclusive TRX rims. Inside, it was equipped with sports seats, an M steering wheel, and a specific instrument cluster as standard. Today, the M635 CSi is considered one of the last classic M models with uncompromising motorsport DNA.

Summary:
A rare 1985 BMW M635 CSi (E24) in metallic blue with beige leather interior is for sale. The vehicle has been owned by the seller since 2012 and has been driven regularly. With extensive investments in technology and appearance, including a documented engine overhaul, new interior trim, and a preserved underbody, the car presents itself as a technically well-maintained classic with a sporty touch. Visually, the BMW shows age-related signs of wear and tear and isolated rust spots, which would require investment. A good basis for lovers of Bavarian driving culture and collectors of classic M models.

LG Tom
