Now there is the possibility to buy a Jaguar from the year of construction 1961: This is an MK 2, which was first delivered to Denmark and remained in Denmark until today. How many owners the car has exactly, the current owner can no longer say. However, it is clear that with this Jaguar, which bears the chassis number 125169, 2 vehicle keys come and also partly the history can be traced back through some invoices and previous receipts. This MK 2 has a Danish approval and thus also Danish papers. According to seller statements, the TÜV is valid until January 2028 – matching numbers are given.

Dark blue gives this Jaguar a simple elegance, a repainting has not yet taken place according to the seller, as a result of which even lighter traces of use and traces of time on the exterior of the MK 2 have not passed without a trace. But for the age of the vehicle, the dark blue paint presents itself in good condition without major damage. In addition, all chrome applications have a shiny condition and serious rust on the exterior can obviously not be found. In the middle of the front is the large chrome radiator grille of the Jaguar, the 4 round headlights are undamaged and in full function. According to the current owner, the MK 2 did not suffer an accident.

15-inch wire-spoke wheels, together with tyres from the Vredestein brand, adorn the exterior appearance of the Jaguar. The tyres as well as the rims are in an acceptable condition. Disc brakes on the front and rear axles ensure perfect deceleration, the condition of the brakes can be classified as good. In terms of chassis technology, there are apparently no defects to be found in the car.

The MK 2 not only shines externally with chrome and sweeping shapes, but also shows typical English virtues in the space-giving interior in the form of walnut wood, leather and chrome. What is striking about the interior is that there are certain signs of wear here: especially the driver's seat shows cracks in the leather (the front passenger seat and the rear seats prove to be patinated) and the rubber seals on the doors are partially porous. Otherwise, various minor signs of wear can be found in the interior of the Jaguar. The footwell carpet, which bears the color red, is still in good shape. Serious defects in the interior of the British sedan are not objectionable, according to the seller.

Black instruments with white numerals can be seen in the cockpit: a mileage of 72,470 kilometres can be read on the Smiths instruments. According to the current owner, the total mileage of this sedan can be traced via various documents such as invoices, previous test reports and other receipts. The instruments in the interior are said to have flawless functionality.

A 2.4-litre in-line six-cylinder engine operates under the bonnet: this produces 120 hp and the driver engages the gears via a 4-speed manual transmission. A final service took place in 2022, mechanical differences are not to be enumerated – Recent repair work, in the course of the engine overhaul, includes the inspection of the Multi-Point injection system. A total of about 9,000 € were invested during the work on the engine, invoices are available.

Black underbody protection can be taken from the underside of the Jaguar MK 2: Apparently, this is in very healthy and complaint-free condition.
