Model history
The Jaguar XK140 was produced between 1954 and 1957 as the successor to the successful XK120 and marked an important step in the further development of Jaguar sports cars. In addition to its distinctive styling, which retained the classic character of its predecessor, the XK140 offered numerous technical improvements. It had a more spacious interior, a modern rack-and-pinion steering system, an improved braking system, and a revised suspension with longer spring travel. In addition, telescopic shock absorbers were used for the first time instead of the lever shock absorbers used previously. These modifications not only made the XK140 more comfortable, but also superior in terms of driving dynamics, cementing its reputation as one of the most sought-after sports cars of the 1950s.

LG Tom
