Model history
The Mercedes-Benz W180 is a luxury-class vehicle and is also known as a Ponton due to its design and self-supporting body. A distinction is made between the "large Ponton", the luxury-class model with the 6-cylinder in-line engines (220 and 220S) and the "small Ponton" of the W120/W121 model series with the smaller four-cylinder engines, which are assigned to the upper mid-range. The large Ponton replaced the W187 series, which still bore the pre-war design with its free-standing fenders. It was built from 1954 to 1959 and was also available as a luxurious convertible and coupé in addition to the saloon. The large Ponton was replaced in 1959 by the Mercedes-Benz W111 model series tail fin.

Beim betrachten der Bilder ist mir bei beiden Heckleuchten aufgefallen das es zumindest so aussieht als seien sie mittig mit "Tesafilm" befestigt? Ich bin mir fast sicher das es ein Fotoeffekt ist! LG Tom
Ich kann da kein Tesafilm erkennen. Grüße ( auch ) Tom
