Model his
- The 968 turbo S, pro
duced in a small series, was offered to cus tomers from April 1993. The vehi cle, built exclu sively by hand in the rac ing depart ment in Weis sach, was the road ver sion of the 968 turbo RS devel oped for the ADAC GT rac ing series and was mar keted directly by the cus tomer sports depart ment. The basis was a 968 CS, always with out targa roof. The engine body (crankcase, includ ing crank shaft) remained the same, but was then adapted to an 8V cylin der head and super charger and inter cooler from the 944 Turbo. The body work at the front was mod i fied and a sec ond oil cooler was installed behind the bumper. The bumper itself was mod i fied to bring more air into the inter cooler, a spoiler kit con sist ing of a front spoiler, adjustable rear wing and Naca in the hood rounded off the trans for ma tion in Weis sach along side the 18-inch Speed line. The result was 305 hp and around 350 hp for the 968 turbo RS.

Tolles Fahrzeug - Kompliment…! Da der Motor ja neu aufgebaut wurde, angelehnt am original… Können Sie da genauer sagen welche Komponenten zum Einsatz gekommen sind…? Vielen Dank M. Kaatz
Hallo Hr. Kaatz, sehr gern. Und danke für Ihr Interesse. Es wurde ein Fabrikneuer Block vom 968 verwendet, Kolben von Warl, welche nach dem Muster der originalen angefertigt wurden, es wurde ein seltener 2,7er Sauger Zylinderkopf komplett revidiert und mit Ventilen / Nitritgefüllt vom 951 verbaut. Weiterhin kam eine 944 - 2,7 liter Saugernockenwelle zum Einsatz, Cup-Kopfdichtung und ein optimierter KKK - Turbolader, welcher die orginale Wassernachkühlung hat. Angepasste Benzindruckregler, Wastegate + Abgasanlage, sowie eine intensive Abstimmung durch ETG Giessen, runden das Paket 3,0 liter Turbo ab. ca. 360 PS bei 0,85 bar.
