In the mid-1980s, the all-wheel drive theme boomed among car manufacturers: a development that BMW did not want to ignore. Audi set the pace in terms of drive technology during this time and it quickly became clear that those who did not have all-wheel drive in their range lost the connection. Bmw countered from the mid-80s with the all-wheel drive version of the E30: The "ix" baptized version of the E30 first appeared in the form of the sedan, later followed by the station wagon. The new all-wheel drive BMW was recognizable by the plastic trims on the fenders and the sills. The only available engine was the in-line six-cylinder with 2.5-liter displacement and 170 hp. The so-called 325ix were produced between 1985 and 1991.

In 2007, the E30 came to Croatia and later to Germany – the car has a total of 3 previous owners. It is therefore a European country version. According to the seller, matching numbers are given, the 325ix is already in possession of an H-approval, the last completed main inspection is valid until April 2024.

In terms of paint, the E30, which is in "diamond black metallic", presents itself in a very good condition in view of the age of the vehicle – except for a little rust on the sunroof without any apparent rust spots on the exterior. Repainting only took place in the area of the plastic cladding of the passenger side, otherwise the current holder is not aware of any subsequent paintwork. The plastic panels in body color are all in acceptable condition, the rear is a black rubber spoiler. Parking bumps on front or rear bumpers are not to be complained about, according to the seller, an accident can be ruled out. Modifications deviating from the original condition are not to be detected on the exterior.

Mounted on the car, original 15-inch BMW BBS multi-spoke rims are in a good state of preservation, on these aluminum rims tires with sufficient tread are mounted. In the area of the brakes, normal signs of use can be found, chassis technology of the BMW ex works is slightly higher than those E30 models with rear-wheel drive due to its all-wheel drive.

Beige leather – only recently renewed – is in the interior: worn driver seat bolsters cannot be removed from the full leather seats – even the seat upholstery seems to be perfectly preserved. Accents are provided by the beige seams on the black centre console, the handbrake, the shift bag and the 3-spoke leather steering wheel. There are no cracks on the black dashboard, and the beige door panels are also in good shape. In addition to the sonorous in-line six-cylinder sound, the Alpine accessory radio in the dashboard tilted towards the driver also ensures good music. Other features include sunroof, power steering, central locking, power windows, air conditioning, ABS and cruise control. A special feature in the interior of the E30 is the original M3 interior mirror, according to the seller.

In the meantime, the BMW 325ix has covered 219,170 kilometres, which can be seen from the speedometer reading: Given this overall mileage, this E30 is in good overall condition. A history of the car is available in the form of various documents, including a guided BMW checkbook. All instruments in the interior perform their duties without any problems.

Power is provided by the 2.5-liter in-line six-cylinder with 170 hp, the engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. In February 2022, this BMW underwent a final service, there are no current defects in the powertrain.

In view of the mileage of the BMW E30 325ix, the underbody can be said to be in very good shape. All-wheel drive in the BMW E30 325ix gave the starting signal for a success story without which BMW would no longer be conceivable today: today, the various xDrive models represent a large part of the BMW model range. A 325ix of the E30 series therefore represents a significant milestone in BMW's history. This model offered here convinces with its stainless substance due to the long service life in Spain. In addition, the sonorous-sounding in-line six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is coupled to a manual transmission, which promises the proverbial joy of driving. Furthermore, the equipment of this 325ix is extremely luxurious for its time.

This E30 is in great condition, so it was even able to take 3rd place in its category at the Pfaffenwinkel Classic in 2022.
