Model history
Porsche broke new ground with the 996. The change from hanging to standing pedals also showed what time had come. But thanks to new technology in body shell construction, rigidity was increased while the unladen weight was reduced at the same time. All-wheel drive was available from 1998, as it had been on the 993: the option could be recognized by the Carrera 4 lettering on the boot lid. With Coupé, Cabriolet and Targa as body variants, the 996 offered a wide choice, a special case being the so-called 4S with naturally aspirated engine, which had the wide turbo body but dispensed with the rear wing: the 4S was available from model year 2002.

Summary of the car
For sale is an exceptional Porsche 911 996 4S from 2002, which inspires with its attractive exterior color in Lapiz blue and a luxurious interior in black leather. The vehicle comes from a first-hand owner, has a complete checkbook and has always been meticulously maintained at the Porsche Center. The sports car is equipped with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine producing 320 hp and is complemented by a Tiptronic 5-speed automatic transmission. The mileage is only 26,191 km, which is fully traceable. This Porsche 996 4S combines timeless style with modern technology and represents a rare opportunity to acquire an immaculately maintained classic from the Porsche range.
Such a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S of the model series 996 from the year of construction 2002 is now offered for auction. The sports car, which carries the FIN WP0ZZZ99Z2S603643, is according to the seller a re-import from Japan, which has only one holder. 2 vehicle keys are still available for the 911. The history of the 996 is easily verifiable, as the 4S has a complete customer service history. Before the handover, the TÜV is renewed by the seller. Also worth mentioning are the given matching numbers.

The Porsche 4S, painted in lapic blue, is as wide as the 996 Turbo: a repaint has not yet taken place, which is why the 911 has the first coat and also an accident-free body. The exterior of the 996 is in very good condition, except for minimal traces of use, no defects can be proven in the paint condition. Also rust can obviously not be found. Modifications to the exterior of the Porsche are not recognizable. Front and rear lights are free of any cracks or damage and the bumpers do not indicate a parking bump. In addition to the wider body compared to the standard 996, the large air openings in the rear apron and the continuous light strip stand out. It is worth mentioning that the overall condition of the body corresponds to the low mileage.

Original silver Porsche alloy wheels without curb scratches are fitted with Bridgestone tyres. The tyres are in good condition, and the brakes are in an acceptable condition. In the chassis, Porsche refined the 993 design with McPherson axle at the front and multi-link axle at the rear: this 996 shows no abnormalities in the chassis area.

The interior of the Porsche 996 Carrera 4S is almost as good as new: to protect against wear and tear, a protective film was placed over the door sill and over the handbrake lever of the car. The interior is classically black, the full leather sports seats as well as the door panels, the footwell carpet, the headliner, the dashboard and the three-spoke leather steering wheel show no traces of defects. Power steering, central locking, power windows, air conditioning and ABS are among the equipment included. All instruments, levers and switches in the interior perform their duties without hesitation and show no traces of a defect.

The digital speedometer can read 26,191 kilometers: This total mileage can be proven by a continuously guided original Porsche checkbook, and according to the seller, this 4S was always serviced in a Porsche center.

The six-cylinder boxer of the 996 320 hp draws from 3.6-litre naturally aspirated engine, while the Tiptronic 5-speed automatic transmission makes it easy to change gears directly on the steering wheel. There is no repair backlog, a final customer service was carried out at mileage 25,653. The engine and transmission are tight and dry, defects in the powertrain are obviously not detectable. The underbody of the Porsche 996 Carrera 4S is also absolutely rust-free and clean according to the low mileage. No complaints can be made on the underside of this 996.

Questions and Comments
LG Tom
