From 1999, ALPINA produced the B3 based on the BMW 3 Series E46. Officially designated the BMW Alpina B3 3.3, the car was available in the body variants sedan, station wagon, coupé and convertible. At the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, the production model celebrated its formal premiere with the 3.3-liter in-line six-cylinder engine with 206 kW (280 hp). In 2002, the B3 was further developed into the 3.3 S with 224 kW and remained in production until 2006.
