Model history
The BMW 633 CSi is part of the first generation of the BMW 6 Series, which was produced from 1976 to 1989 as the successor to the E9 Coupé. The elegant two-door coupé combined sporty driving dynamics with long-distance comfort and was largely powered by in-line six-cylinder engines from the M30 series.
In 1982, the E24 received a technical overhaul with components from the E28. The most powerful variant was the M635CSi with the M88/3 engine, while the M6 version with the S38 engine was offered in North America. After the end of production, a direct successor did not follow until 2004 with the E63, making the E24 a sought-after classic to this day.
