BMW 502 Barockengel V8 (1961)

Kickdown's Take
by Leonard DeppenWith the "Baroque Angel," BMW introduced the first eight-cylinder engine in postwar Germany to go into series production—a true symbol of the economic miracle. This 1961 502, whose 3.2-liter V8 produces 120 PS, was restored in 2022. The gleaming white paint harmonizes beautifully with the red-and-white fabric seats and the wood trim on the dashboard. TÜV certification valid through 2028 and an “H” license plate round out the picture. Well-preserved “Baroque Angels” have become rare and have been prized by collectors for years. A stylish touring car for lovers of Baroque elegance from Munich!
