The Mercedes-Benz 107 model series, introduced as the successor to the Pagoda W 113, set new design standards with broadband H4 headlights and large fluted rear lights. The designer Friedrich Geiger was responsible for the appearance. The series set the style for Mercedes-Benz design in the 1970s. The main sales market was the USA. The model series remained in the range for 18 years and was replaced by the R 129 in 1989.
