Volkswagen T3 Atlantic Westfalia (1990)

Moritz Helbich

Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Helbich

The Atlantic was the most luxurious camper van that Westfalia built on the T3 chassis, and fewer than 1,500 were produced. This first-hand cherry-red Bulli is a true time-capsule find: It has just 6,797 kilometers on the odometer, documented by the service record, original invoice, and inspection reports, plus original paint, nearly like-new upholstery, and the original turbo diesel engine. Well-maintained T3 Westfalias have been in high demand for years, and it’s practically impossible to find one in this condition anymore. A collector’s item with a pop-up roof and kitchen for Bulli enthusiasts!

Summary

For sale is a 1990 Volkswagen T3 Atlantic turbodiesel with original factory Westfalia conversion and pop-up roof in cherry red, with a remarkably low mileage of just 6,797 kilometers. The mileage is original and verifiable through TÜV reports, the service record book, and the original invoice. The camper was first registered in Germany in February 1990 and, according to the vehicle registration certificate, has had only one owner. The body and interior are in extremely good, nearly like-new condition with only minimal signs of wear; the interior remains in its original condition. The vehicle is deregistered and does not have a valid TÜV inspection; the last general inspection took place in June 2012. The last service was performed in October 2025. An extremely rare Bulli, ideal for collectors looking for a T3 camper in original condition that has been driven very little.

LG Tom
