Model history

In 1937, Mercedes introduced the 230 N model. However, due to a design flaw, production was discontinued after a few months and the model was further developed. In 1938, Mercedes introduced the new, improved version of the Type 230. The design remained similar, with a sporty look from the distinctive grille and curved wheel arches at the front. The interior offered plenty of legroom and luxurious equipment. Under the hood was a 2.3-liter engine with a four-speed manual gearbox.
