Porsche 912 F (1968)

Moritz Helbich

Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Helbich

The 912 is the 911’s little brother and offers true air-cooled boxer engine character. This California-based matching-numbers example underwent a comprehensive overhaul in 2018 and has seen very little use since then. Before sale, the Porsche will receive a fresh TÜV inspection and service. A well-maintained 912 like this one offers an exciting introduction to the world of classic Porsches. Ideal for enthusiasts seeking an authentic driving experience.

Summary

For sale is a white Porsche 912 Coupé with black full leather interior, built in 1968, originally registered in California and imported to Germany in 1989. The vehicle was owned by the proprietor of a Porsche Center and is being sold as a matching-number example with a recent service and a new TÜV certificate. The extensive engine overhaul in 2018 (approx. 9,000 EUR) included a complete engine rebuild, replacement of the clutch, brakes, and suspension, as well as wheel alignment; only about 900 miles have been driven since the overhaul. The vehicle passed its general inspection in July 2018 with no defects. Prospective buyers should be aware of the necessary door adjustment on the left side, the passenger-side window that does not open, and the alternator bearings that require maintenance.

Comments of this past auction

LG Tom
