Model history

The Bentley Continental R was the first independent Bentley coupé since the R-Type from the 1950s – without a technical Rolls-Royce counterpart. Built between 1991 and 2002, it was considered the most powerful and most expensive production Bentley of its time. With a 6.75-liter displacement, turbocharging, and exclusive handcrafting, the Continental R embodied British luxury at the highest level. Only a few examples were produced in limited editions such as the "Japan Specification" with Continental T engine – today they are among the most sought-after models in the series.

Summary:

For sale is an exclusive 1997 Bentley Continental R 400 in the special "Japan Specification" edition, of which only six were produced worldwide. The vehicle was individually equipped by Mulliner Park Ward and features the more powerful Continental T engine with 408 hp. Its condition is underscored by a low mileage of around 32,000 km and numerous maintenance works and investments made in recent years. Visually and technically well maintained, the vehicle shows only slight signs of wear. A collector's item with a genuine guarantee of rarity – for connoisseurs of British grand tourers.
