Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Helbich

The highlight of this 964 Cabriolet is that it’s a first-owner car! This makes the classic 911 an intriguing collector’s item, especially since it’s a German model with a manual transmission. The Porsche has never been in an accident and underwent a recent service in April 2026. A rare opportunity for fans of air-cooled 911s!

Model History

The Porsche 911 964 series was produced from 1989 to 1994 and marked an important developmental step in the history of the 911. With a design by Benjamin Dimson, the car received modernized styling that stood out from its predecessor primarily due to harmoniously integrated bumpers. Technically, the 964 introduced numerous innovations, including, for the first time, the option to order it with all-wheel drive or the automatic Tiptronic transmission. Internally designated as “Type 964,” the models were officially offered as the Carrera 2 and Carrera 4. Today, the series is regarded as a bridge between the classic and modern generations of the 911 and enjoys great popularity among collectors.

LG Tom
