The BMW E46 M3 is a high-performance sports car produced by BMW from 1998 to 2006. It is the fourth generation of the BMW M3 and was powered by a 3.2-litre in-line six-cylinder engine that produced 343 hp. The e46 m3 was available as both a coupe and convertible and was known for its sharp handling and powerful engine. It was a popular car among enthusiasts and is still highly sought after today.

For sale here is a BMW M3 E46 convertible built in 2002 with German first delivery. The car with the FIN WBSBR91050EX11898 was still owned by two people. The car has been deregistered since 2017 and is now being sold in the course of a collection liquidation. The BMW has a MOT valid until December 2024, and it has a mileage of 183,200 kilometers. The car has not been involved in any accidents and is roadworthy.
Exterior:
The paint of the convertible as well as the soft top are black. The car was reconditioned and sealed. The seller states that scratches on the fender were removed with Smartrepair. The condition of the brakes is between 70-90%. The 19-inch alloy wheels were freshly powder-coated and refurbished. The Dunlop tyres were bought new by owners in 2018, while the front tyres are from 2020. The underbody and body of the car are in good condition and unwelded, according to the seller.
Interior:
The interior of the BMW is finished in black leather. The optional equipment of the BMW includes power steering, central locking, power windows, heated seats, automatic climate control, ABS, cruise control, radio and a hardtop in body colour. The seller states that the built-in display radio was recently overhauled and the headliner of the hardtop was recovered.
Engine:
The BMW M3 E46 Convertible is equipped with a 3.2-litre in-line six-cylinder engine that delivers 343 hp. The car is coupled with a manual transmission which was converted by the company MX Motorsport from SMG to manual. In the course of this conversion, the clutch was renewed. According to the seller, the engine has been well maintained and is in good condition. The starter battery was also recently replaced and engine compartment was blasted with dry ice.

Ein paar weiterführende Informationen zur Historie wären wünschenswert. Das Fahrzeug hatte zunächst Aachener Kennzeichen, später war es im Märkischen Kreis zugelassen. Das (lückenhafte) Serviceheft zeigt Einträge aus dem Ausland. War der zweite Halter mit dem Fahrzeug im Ausland zum Service, oder wie ist das zu erklären? Gibt es zu den Einträgen im Serviceheft, die nicht mit einem Stempel versehen sind Rechnungen, oder wie soll das glaubhaft sein? Gibt es zu den anderen Einträgen Rechnungen? Welche Wartungsarbeiten wurden zuletzt durchgeführt, welche präventiven Instandhaltungen? Pleuellager, Ölpumpe, Vanos? Wann wurde zuletzt das Ventilspiel geprüft? Zeigen die Aufnahmen der Hinterachse Auffälligkeiten?
Guten Tag, richtig. Der Besitzer hat wohl auch Wartungen bei BMW in Belgien gemacht. Wie man am Serviceheft erkennen kann. Eine Auflistung der einzelnen BMW besuche, haben wir an Kickdown weitergeleitet. Damit lässt sich der Kilometerstand nachvollziehen. Zuletzt wurde ein Service gemacht, sowie eine neue Kupplung und Federn der Hinterachse erneuert. Ob Pleuellager Ölpumpe oder Vanos erneuert worden sind, entzieht sich unserem wissen. BMW selber konnte uns da leider keine Auskunft geben. Wie sie bestimmt wissen gibt es jede Menge Profis die diese Arbeiten anbieten. Bavaria Motors z.B macht diese Arbeiten für 1490€ incl. Ventilspiel einstellen und Ölpumpen Überholung. Was meinen sie genau mit Aufnahmen der Hinterachse?
Die Hinterachsaufnahmen sind eine grosse und gefährliche Schwachstelle an diesen Fahrzeugen und müssen erneuert werden. Auch der Motor ist sehr anfällig und muss lückenlos gewartet werden, sonst wirds richtig teuer.
Bitte Informieren sie sich richtig, falsche Aussagen sind irreführend. Die Aufnahmen/Befestigungspunkte kriegen Risse an bestimmten Punkten. Es werden nicht die Hinterachs-aufnahmen erneuert, sondern wieder zugeschweißt und im gleichen Zuge verstärkt. JEDER E46 hat dieses Problem. Es gibt selten fälle, wo dies nicht der fall ist. Wenn sie ein M3 E46 Cabrio auf Motorsportlicher Basis bewegen wollen, dann empfehle ich Ihnen die Aufnahmen der Hinterachse zu verstärken. Bezüglich des Motors haben sie recht, dies gilt aber für jedes erbaute Fahrzeug auf dieser Welt. Ohne Wartung stirbt jeder Motor. Beste Grüße
Mit anderen Worten - und das war ja meine eigentliche Frage - die Aufnahmen der Hinterachse sind noch nicht überprüft oder gar verstärkt worden, richtig?
