Moritz Helbich

Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Helbich

This 500 E is in exceptional original condition, with only about 79,000 kilometers on the odometer and its original paint! This makes the rare high-performance sedan a true collector’s item. It has received a grade of 2+, and the color combination of Bornit Metallic with black leather has become iconic. An exciting opportunity for W124 fans!

Model history

The Mercedes-Benz 500 E, known as the E 500 from 1994 onward, was produced between 1990 and 1995 in cooperation with Porsche. To accommodate the 5.0-liter V8 in the W124, the body was specially adapted and assembly was partially carried out at Porsche in Zuffenhausen. Thanks to this elaborate manufacturing process, the E 500 is still considered an exclusive sports sedan that combines understated elegance with impressive performance.
