Model his­tory

The BMW E9 was pro­duced from 1968 to 1975 as a sporty lux­ury coupe. The series was based on the BMW 2000 C / 2000 CS, with the body man­u­fac­tured by Kar­mann. Ini­tially intro­duced as the 2800 CS, the model was replaced in 1971 by the 3.0 CS and 3.0 CSi vari­ants. The 3.0 CS had an enlarged 2,986 cm³ inline six-cylin­der engine with twin car­bu­re­tors and pro­duced 180 hp. From 1971 to 1975, around 4,455 units of the 3.0 CS were pro­duced.

            Zur Lackierung aus 1995 liegt die Rechnung einer Fachwerkstatt vor. Diese scheint jedoch nicht mehr zu existieren. Es sind alle Schlüssel vorhanden. Rechnungen, Classic Data Bewertungen etc. sind seit 1993 vorzeigbar. Ob weitere Bilder veröffentlicht werden können, muss der Website Betreiber entscheiden.

              Technik: Der BMW E9 war ein Pkw-Modell von BMW, das zwischen Dezember 1968 und Dezember 1975 im Lohnauftrag bei Karmann im Werk Rheine gebaut wurde. Das Angebot umfasste ausschließlich Sechszylinder-Reihenmotoren mit einem Hubraum zwischen 2,5 und 3,2 Liter und einer Leistung von 150 bis 206 PS (110 bis 151 kW). Der E9 löste das ab 1965 gebaute BMW Coupé 2000 C/CA/CS der „Neuen Klasse“, auf dem er basierte, im Jahr 1968 ab. Die größte, sofort sichtbare Veränderung an der Karosserie war eine an die „BMW-Familie“ angepasste Front mit den H1-Doppelscheinwerferpaaren. Die dadurch entstandene Ähnlichkeit mit dem BMW E3 kann den Eindruck erwecken, es sei eine Coupé-Variante dieses Modells, was jedoch nicht zutrifft. Insgesamt entstanden 30.546 Wagen. Nachfolger des E9 wurde 1976 die erste 6er Baureihe (E24). LG Tom
